CEIR Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC) Guide 2008

This Guidance is for CEIR members only and aims to help them with the new Machinery Directive, relying on the position agreed within the Product Committee 3 “Industrial Valves”.
It does not describe the new directive in detail, but:
- summarises the arguments on which the PC3 position paper relies, ie arguments that manufacturers will need to explain this directive to their customers;
- indicates to manufacturers what actions they should take, according to cases considered in the PC3 position paper, and provides them with tools to do this.
