The objectives of CEIR

To facilitate reciprocal contacts on the European level within the valve industry and, by these contacts, to contribute to an improvement of market conditions and growth in productivity;
to take part in research work, testing and other activities; to promote these in so far as they can contribute to the development of the valve industry;
to promote standardization of European specifications relating to construction and safety and the preparation of recommendations within the framework of standardization activities of international standards bodies (e.g. CEN and ISO);
to make progress in standardization and to improve the quality of products of the valve industry and to strive for the standardization of conditions of sale and commerce in the various countries.
The association may carry out any act or operation and take any steps or measures which may help to achieve its objectives, including cooperation with its members and affiliated companies.
The association has no commercial objective.
The association has no party-political purposes.
